We were established in 1984 by husband and wife team, Leonard and Donna Harris.

We are one of Chicago's few midsize supermarkets in the Chatham Community. After 25 years, Chatham Food Market continues the traditions that have made it successful, a unique shopping experience in a high-energy family friendly environment, active community involvement, and more personal attention to our customers than larger chain stores. Our customer’s acceptance and loyalty has been proven throughout the years as each generation of families make Chatham Food Market their place to shop.

As you walk into Chatham Food Market, you'll find a cornucopia of enticing sights in our clean well-stocked grocery store. Our staff will greet you with our own personal brand of hospitality, which always includes a smile. The atmosphere is always friendly and neighborly, where smiles are contagions.

You will find our selection of shampoos and conditioners to be very limited, but you will have fun picking out a fresh collared green from our produce department. We don’t carry ear rings, make up's or cell phone accessories, but we offer over 100 varieties of fresh meat. We don't sell Philip Morse products but we carry lots of no sodium and no sugar products.

We carry lots of name brand products, but our favorite brands are the ones produced right here in our backyard (i.e. Angelica’s Cake, Sam’s Gourmet Lasagna, and Reggio’s Pizza).
