Chesterfield Community Council, established in 1952, is a not-for-profit community based organization whose sole purpose is to promote, unify and assist in all endeavors pertaining to the Chesterfield Community.

Activities / Events / Programs:

Senior Citizen Computer Literacy Program- CCC provides training to seniors (age 55 and older) on computer literacy and the internet. Since, 1998, CCC has trained more than 1300 seniors.

ACT Test Prep Program - CCC provides tutoring to high school students in reading, writing, science and math in order to increase the students scores on the ACT Test for college admission. Since 2009, CCC has tutored 50 students.

Silas Purnell College Expo- CCC sponsors the "Silas Purnell College Expo" consisting of financial aide & admissions representatives from Historical Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU's) and Illinois Colleges and Universities. This event is inspired by the work of the legendary Silas Purnell. Since 2004, more than 2200 individuals have participated in this annual event.

Home Expo- This annual event is designed to inform and expose homeowners and perspective homeowners of available programs in home repair, foreclosure prevention and home buying. Since 2003, more than 1500 individuals have participated in this event.

Monthly Meetings:

CCC meets the third Tuesday of every month (except November) 6:30 p.m. at Tuley Park Field house, 90th & King Drive.
