Our dedication to the highest quality products means that we carefully select each of our suppliers. This ensures that we only use the suppliers that meet our strict quality standards; we buy our meat from only the best companies. Any meat delivered that is not of the highest quality is immediately rejected. We do not try to sell it for less—we do not sell it at all.
At Chatham Foods Market, we want you to be able to find exactly what you want at a fair price. As a customer, you will appreciate a savings of 5% to 25% when you purchase a Family pack item (of 3 or more pounds).
- We sell only USDA Choice grade beef and lamb, tender, juicy, and most flavorful meat available.
- Our poultry is fresh and NEVER frozen, small in size, white in color and always “Grade A” U.S.A. inspected.
- We carry a wide variety of U.S. GOVT. INSP pork, and large smoked meat sections.
- We are also proud to carry fresh fish as well.
Quality and Service
Quality is our number one priority; unlike other area meat purveyors, we do all of our cutting in-house, which includes on-site sausage grinding. We have many varieties of handmade sausages, including: our famous grillable Bratwurst, sweet and hot Italian, Pork Pan Sausage, and Pork hot links-- all made in store. For our ground beef we use chucks, rounds, and sirloin for all of our grinds- we DO NOT use tube ground beef.
Staff
Meat cutting is a trade that has a long history and takes a lot of skill to do it right; all of our butchers are licensed certified food service managers, as a result our meat cutters take great pride in what they do. Our Meat Department Manager, Charlie Curry, is one of the few true butchers left in the country. He has been practicing this dying craft for the last 51 years in the Chicago land area.
